A professional letterhead in minutes, not a design brief
Quotations, invoices, and official letters look far more credible printed on a proper letterhead than on plain paper — but hiring a designer for a single-page header/footer template is overkill for most small businesses. This free tool builds one for you: upload your logo, add your business name, tagline, address, and contact details, pick a design, and download a ready-to-print A4 PDF with the header and footer bands filled in and the body left completely blank for your actual letter content.
Your logo is drawn onto the letterhead entirely inside your browser using canvas — it is never uploaded to any server, and neither is anything else you type here.
A Word file you can actually type in
The main download is a .docx. Your header and footer bands go into Word’s own header and footer, the page margins are already set so your text clears them, and the cursor lands in an empty body. Open it, type your letter, print. The bands repeat on every page on their own, and it opens in Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages. Use the PDF instead when you want to print a stack of blank letterheads to write on by hand.
Two ways to use it
Download the PDF and print it as-is for physical letters, quotations, and invoices — the body area is intentionally blank so you (or a printer) can add content by hand or through another document. Or download the PNG version and set it as a background/watermark image behind a Word or Google Docs page, so every letter or quotation you type digitally already has your branded header and footer in place, without printing on pre-printed paper stock at all.
Keep your branding consistent everywhere
Once you have a letterhead, use the same logo and business details across every customer touchpoint — your GST invoices, quotations, and a free BizGo digital business page. A BizGo page gives customers a single link with your services, gallery, and contact details always up to date — the same logo and brand colors you just used here, everywhere your business shows up online.
Choosing a design
Three layouts are available, each built to stay legible whether the letterhead is printed in full color or on a black-and-white office printer: a classic solid header band, a modern centered layout with a single accent rule, and a minimal design that uses thin lines instead of blocks of color for a more formal, understated look suitable for legal or financial correspondence. Your business name automatically shrinks to fit if it runs long, so switching designs never causes text to overflow or get cut off, regardless of how long your registered business name is.
Four designs, and your own colours in any of them
Design options lets you recolour the letterhead to your own brand — twelve ready-made themes, or the background, text, main colour and highlight set by hand — and choose from six font pairings. The Photo Header design takes a photograph across the top band: your shopfront, your workshop, your food. The photo stays in the band and never runs behind the body of the page, because a letterhead has to be something you can actually type a letter on.
If you are printing a few hundred of these, watch for the ink note that appears under the preview when a design would cover most of the page in colour. A pale letterhead on plain paper costs pennies a sheet; a full-bleed dark one costs a cartridge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, with the Photo Header design. Upload a picture under Design options and it fills the header band only, so the rest of the page stays clean to type a letter on. You can also recolour any of the four designs and change the font.
Yes — design, download the PDF or PNG, and print it, completely free with no login or watermark.
No. Your logo is read and drawn onto the letterhead entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript — it is never sent anywhere.
You usually will not need to: the .docx download already puts the bands into the Word header and footer with the margins set. The PNG is still there if you prefer to place it as a page background yourself.
The body area is left blank on purpose so you can add your actual letter, quotation, or invoice content on top of it — either by hand on a printed copy or digitally using the PNG background.
No — the logo is optional. You can generate a letterhead with just your business name and contact details.
